2004-12-05 [Analeyin]: Thanks about the piccies! *smiles* I'm not very keen on public speaking (in front of ppl my age only, though) and offstage I'm still pretty shy, but I love acting and singing (shows too, I was the only one you could hear singing the Carols... Bah. I overpowered seven people. That shows the musical fortitude of NPHS...) But the best part is most certainly backstage. The guys are so loopy and the girls are so willing to join their silly behavior, it's great! I'm sad though: the tape my dad used to tape the show with DIED so now I can't give copies as planned, and the pics are really REALLY hard to salvage. *sighs* Oh well..

2004-12-05 [Analeyin]: To hell with them. I have a high respect for the stage crew, indeed, it is the ACTORS that make or break a play, not the props/scenery. What I can't stand though are the people who complain about how much they're doing with sets/costumes/

2004-12-06 [Analeyin]: No, not really. There are hundreds of blackscreen productions which involve a chair or two at most, so IT IS POSSIBLE WITHOUT a large Crew. In Shakespearean theatre, they didn't use scenery or many props. They are important (the Crew, I mean), but when they go to a play, most people want to see actors and a story, not scenery. I'm really sorry for our Crew (in A C.C.) because they had to do something around seven scene changes in a 15 minute play, not to mention they put EVERYTHING together. Our "student director" did nothing. Nothing but complicate things. The "experienced seniors" did NOTHING but mess the play up and chatter backstage, therefore missing all of their cues and blocking the

2004-12-06 [Analeyin]: I can't hate the theater, and I think a lot of times blackscreen (I forgot to mention Noh and other Japanese theatre too, they use one basic scenery with small, improvised props, very much like the Uncle Tom's Cabin in The King and I) are a lot more difficult and therefore more entertaining.
2004-12-06 [Analeyin]: Last year's musical was great, but I'd spend all of my lunch periods HELPING the Crew. Poor Abby was having a mini-breakdown and Alyssa was just being huffy. And Payne stepped in the bright/light blue ENAMEL and walked across the nice black stage. We really had to touchup then.. But it was worth it. I have some pics to prove it. Scenery this year is kindof pathetic compared to Last's, due to the lack of Jim Dobbe. *sighs* And our light crew has nothing but two spots and some flimsy overhead (as in the ones that light the stage in DAYTIME) to work with... not to mention the wooooonderful sound system *end rant here*

2005-01-24 [Analeyin]: There are people who go on YEARS, DECADES, and ENTIRE LIFETIMES without finding "the one" because s/he doesn't EXIST or is too far away to ever EVER have contact physical or not. I don't particularly think you have reason to complain. And my schoolwork is rather important to me. If I want scholarships, I have to have lots of AP courses and maintain my 4.0GPA. That's why I'm awake at four in the morning to finish it. I'm going to be the living dead when I get home at 7:00PM... but it's the first day of the semester. I don't have to be too attentive, just to nod very politely and look intrigued at the repetition of every scheduling "blahblahblah" and "course overview"... I've found my weekends
